Why We Do What We Do

With advancements in technology and privileges of working from home, came many benefits such as being able to save time and money, improved work- life balance, and positive environmental impacts. Information is easily accessible and you can get just about anything delivered with the tap of a button. As great as these things are, they have also had a negative impact on our society, including increased rates of depression, anxiety, and mental health illness. People tend to be lonelier and often feel secluded.

Due to these issues, in- person gatherings are more important now than ever. At Graceful Productions, when we plan and design events, our main focus is the hosts, guests, and attendees. We do our best to create experiences & environments that leave you with positive lasting impressions. We are also strong advocates for diversity, equity, and inclusion. We believe no matter your age, sexual orientation, or race, when we plan your events, everyone deserves to feel seen and heard.

Omoyele Ohaja

Prior to receiving her Bachelor’s of Science in Public Health and working as an IT Project Manager, Yele always had a passion for events. Yele’s love for hosting started at a young age, always catering to the needs of others through warm hospitality. Whether it was planning and decorating for family members, friends, and even strangers, she found so much joy in it. When Yele discovered she could do what she loved as a profession, she began working as an event planner in 2014.

Despite the increasing growth of event planners and designers in the industry, she decided to step out in faith, because she knew she had something special and unique to offer.

Her experience as an event planner working on events such as the Clinton Global Initiative, paired with 8 years of sales and project management experience with reputable organizations such as BCBS IL, Publicis Sapient, and the University of Chicago, has led her to successfully plan and execute many events, implement and close multimillion-dollar projects, and manage a vast array of organizations, teams, and individuals. Her work ethic, determination, and excellent customer service has created a revolving door for her clientele. She continues to provide quality service as her business grows larger each day.
